Next to the injection molding machine, you can usually find a machine-side crusher. This crusher grinds plastic scraps, waste materials, nozzle residues, and defective products generated during the injection molding process into reusable granules. These crushed materials can then be mixed with raw materials in a specific ratio and fed back into the production cycle via a recycling system.
When the crusher’s hopper is opened for maintenance or cleaning, a safety switch is required to immediately stop the equipment to prevent accidents. This is where the limit switch comes into play.
